Today’s ride explored a brand new amazing trail. Amazing, our 5th year riding weekly in Topanga and we found an amazing new single track near the shop. YEAH.

Ronald has had his eyes on a Surly for quite some time and decided it was the perfect day to pick up a Troll. He wanted a bike to do it all, what an excellent choice.

Saturday, January 5th. We will do a ride from the shop at 8 AM. Please show up a bit earlier because we have to be back in 2- 2 1/2 hours to open the shop. Last week was dry and the conditions were perfect. The start in the canyon has been cold but it’s usually warm once we hit the hills. As usual we will probably split into various ability groups. As a note for the winter- please make sure to check the weather forecast for the Saturday ride. If, by noon on Friday (and any point in the day thereafter) there is over a 25% chance of rain predicted for Saturday the ride will be cancelled. Also, please check our Facebook page on Saturday morning for any last minute cancellations. If it is misty or rainy in the canyon we won’t ride. The weather in the canyon can be very different from the basin so please make sure to check. Please also park on the shop side of Topanga.
Anthony found the perfect local trail bike with the Voodoo Zobop. In fact he’s headed up Viewridge this very moment.
Brian picked up a Surly Long Haul Trucker today. He walked in hoping perhaps we had some (we do, in most sizes). He hoped we had a 58 in 700C (we did). And, he wanted green. We had green. Nice for everyone.

Monday Morning (tomorrow) 8 AM Ride. We are going to do a regular Saturday Morning. 2 ish hours. Be ready to leave at 8 so we can get back to open the shop by 11 am. We will be open Monday from 11-5 and closed New Years Day, FYI.
