Poler Stuff (@polerstuff) publishes the Camp Vibes Communique and interviewed an artist Hannes Wingate, ( Instagram @hanneswingate) who had the following spectacular quote in the current issue, “Somewhere along the way, we stepped out of nature and started thinking about nature as a place. It’s as though we think we’ve stepped above it, … we thought of nature as separate from us and at the same time we put paradise somewhere else…..but I think paradise was already here, it was always here…..” Hannes is so right. How did we make nature a place to go to occasionally? Why do we separate it so much from our lives as a place to drive to and find rarely. The stout  29 x 3.0 wheels make for an exciting ride, whether you’re climbing the steep grades of Arteique Road on the TCB Shop Loop or bombing down Mt. Pinos in the Los Padres National Forest. Its been on a few adventures already, and has converted several folk to the dark side (Or to the light side depending on your fancy.) Greg used to work with the shop back when we were Hollywood Pro Bicycles on Hollywood Blvd. He stopped by on Saturday to say hello and catch up. Old stories were retold, coffee and banana bread was shared, and we all had a fun trip going back through memory lane.

James came in looking to replace his old road bike from the 70’s that was too small for him to ride comfortably. We suggested a Gunnar Sport since they have a wide size range and are fantastically built American-Made steel frames. We built it from the ground up for him and it came out beautiful. Thanks James!

Salsa’s ultra endurance carbon bikepacking Cutthroat just arrived at the Outpost. The beautiful green paint really pops in the Topanga sunlight. We’ve got a size large waiting to find a happy home.
